Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry invites applicants for the position of Research Assistant or Associate Professor in the Department of Orthodontics.  This is a full-time, non-tenure 4 year appointment.  Applicants should have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in an area pertinent to oral biology, and at least 5 years experience in a dental school.  Responsibilities include directing the Oral Biology Core Research facility and conducting research activities as assigned by the Associate Dean for Research. Temple University Maurice H. Kornberg School of Dentistry, invites applicants for a full-time Clinical Educator Track (CET) appointment as Associate Professor of Pediatric Dentistry, available immediately. Applicants must possess a dental degree, graduate education and experience in pediatric dentistry, outstanding written and verbal communication skills, and academic administrative experience in pediatric dentistry at a senior level. The Department of Restorative Dentistry at Maurice H. Kornberg School of Dentistry invites applications for two Presidential tenure track faculty positions.  Candidates must possess a US/Canadian dental degree or equivalent and be eligible for licensure or clinical teaching in Pennsylvania.  Preferably, candidates should possess advanced education in materials science, general dentistry, prosthodontics or dental implantology. An advanced research degree (MS, PhD) is desirable.  An established record of funded basic or clinical research in materials science, restorative dentistry, dental implantology or a related field is highly desirable.  A record of publication in the peer-reviewed dental scientific literature is expected.
 
The successful candidate will conduct funded research in an area related to restorative dentistry and will contribute to the department’s didactic and clinical teaching program, especially in the areas of removable prosthodontics, dental materials, and/or implantology.  Documented excellence in dental education is expected. Salary and academic rank will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.

The Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology, Medicine and Surgery at Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor. This position is a non-tenure track, Dean’s appointment.

This position is in the Rosenthal Clinical Center and is supported entirely by Ryan White HIV/AIDS Treatment Modernization Act of 2006 Program funds. Its year to year continuation is dependent upon renewal of funding. The clinic has had continuous funding since the enactment of the first Ryan White HIV/AIDS programs in 1990.
The candidate will provide dental care to low-income HIV/AIDS patients under the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Treatment Modernization Act Programs and will maintain records according to the program guidelines. He/she will assist in the preparation of reports and grant applications for Part A funds and Dental Reimbursement Program funds.
The candidate will supervise senior dental students who provide comprehensive dental treatment to patients of the Rosenthal Clinical Center. He/she will be expected to participate in clinical research conducted in the Rosenthal Clinical Center.
Candidates must be experienced in all aspects of general dentistry. Experience in the management of medically compromised patients including HIV/AIDS patients is desirable. Fluency in Spanish is desirable.

The candidate must be licensed to practice dentistry in Pennsylvania or be qualified to obtain permission from the State Board of Dentistry to practice as a faculty member under ACT 160 of the Dental Law.

Preferred start date for this position is immediately, but the position will remain open until filled.
